Finance Assistant

Temporary Finance Assistant needed for an immediate start for this South Shields based role.

ENHANCED DBS REQUIRED - Please do not apply unless you have a valid DBS

£19 per hour PAYE

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager

Some of the main responsibilities include:

• Handle the control and recording of all sales/purchase invoices onto the appropriate ledgers
• To handle the collection and acknowledgment of all cash receipts
• Daily banking reconciliations to be completed
• Monthly reconciliations of all sales/purchase ledgers
• Handle petty cash balance and any staff cash advances required, ensuring to keep a thorough record on the system
• Preparation of occasional supplier payment runs as approved by the Head of Finance
• Successfully liaise with internal and external auditors as and when required

Skills and knowledge required:

• Previous experience within a finance department
• Previous knowledge or use of accounts software
• Competent use of Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
• Fantastic communication skills
