Temporary Finance Assistant needed for an immediate start for this South Shields based role.

£19 per hour PAYE
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager
Some of the main responsibilities include:
- Handle the control and recording of all sales/purchase invoices onto the appropriate ledgers
- To handle the collection and acknowledgment of all cash receipts
- Daily banking reconciliations to be completed
- Monthly reconciliations of all sales/purchase ledgers
- Handle petty cash balance and any staff cash advances required, ensuring to keep a thorough record on the system
- Preparation of occasional supplier payment runs as approved by the Head of Finance
- Successfully liaise with internal and external auditors as and when required
Skills and knowledge required:
- Previous experience within a finance department
- Previous knowledge or use of accounts software
- Competent use of Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
- Fantastic communication skills
