Finance Assistant - Part-Time

Your new companyHays are working with a company in Stevenage who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis. We offer superb training and excellent mentors to help you excel within your role.Your new roleIn this exciting role you must have a strong motivation and drive to achieve your goals as part of a team supporting all aspects of the finance function for UK companies within the Group. Some key responsibilities will be:

• Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger, set up supplier accounts, post invoices, raise payments and ensure statements are reconciled.
• Set up new customer accounts in the sales ledger, raise invoices and post cash receipts on a daily basis.
• Ensure sales orders are processed and assist with the monthly order reporting.
• Updating intercompany system, add and code invoices, reconcile accounts in Group Reporting System
• Performing bank reconciliation on a daily basis.
• Reviewing expense claims to ensure policy is adhered to, including administration and processing of expenses for payment.
• Other general office duties as advised from time to time.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate for the role will have experience working in a similar role, have good written and verbal communication skills, a hands on team player with excellent systems skills. What you'll get in returnThe client is offering 22 Hours per week, flexible and split across 3 or 5 daysSalary equivalent GBP20,000 this is the pro-rated salary. (Full-time equivalent is GBP33k) Good holidays and benefits package including healthcare, pension and bonus.
