This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant - Payments to join our team and be responsible for the administration of supplier payments. As the Finance Assistant- Payments you'll work alongside other members of the processing team to ensure that payments are accurately processed and on time from various systems.
The finance team has a dedicated payments processing team where this role resides, however, occasional cover may be required to support the income processing team.
About the role
We are looking for a customer focussed individual to join our team and to help us achieve our social mission.
On the Job you will:
- Post Purchase Ledger invoices onto Proactis to match with Purchase Orders
- Carry out weekly Creditor Bacs Payments and adhoc Sundry Payments
- Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts
- Process expenditure relating to the Organisations Purchase Cards
- Post Purchase Ledger Invoices on QL housing system to match with Job Orders
- Process Direct Debits paid through the Management Bank Account
- Assist in the preparation of the weekly and monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Deal with financial queries form both internal and external sources
About You
We’re looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and are organised, accurate and proactive, someone who is great at dealing with supplier queries. Someone who is highly organised, responsible, pays attention to detail, experienced in utilising computerised financial systems and able to work with detailed excel spreadsheets. Exposure to these systems will be an added advantage: Proactis, SUN, QL, Allpay, PTX
You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
- Good communication skills both verbal and written·
- You are analytical and able to deal with large volumes of data
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Ability to prioritise in order to meet strict deadlines
- Like to contribute towards improving the way we work
- Practical problem solving skills·
- Computer skills (MS Office)
