We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant – Supply Chain to join the B&M Finance team here at Support Centre in Speke, L24. This is a full time, in the office and permanent role.
We are looking for an individual with a high level of attention to deal, someone who is diligent and organised, to join our finance department. This role is ideal for an ambitious and eager individual looking to progress their career in accountancy, with promotion opportunities available at a fast-paced FTSE 100 retailer.
The key accountabilities of this role are but not restricted to:
- Assisting and preparing the weekly cost forecast
- Creating purchase orders on Oracle
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Monitor costs to ensure the business meets financial objectives
- Liaising with suppliers and investigating any PO queries
- Provide support around the month end – preparing accruals and prepayments
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
The skills required to be successful are:
- Currently studying for an accountancy qualification (AAT) looking for a broad role within a fast-paced finance department
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience of managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- A quick learner who is eager to further broaden their knowledge and develop their career within retail
