This an exciting, varied role which will support the Finance Manager in business finance and accounting activities. Responsibilities include all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, helping to oversee and manage individual accounts for the construction part of the business. - Oversee and manage all supplier and tenant accounts
- Work with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals, calculate and check to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
- Maintain and review intercompany balances
- Processing purchase and sales invoices, including processing payments
- Record and administer use of company credit cards
- Ensure bank transaction postings are kept up to date
- Assist the Finance Manager in creating financial reports
- Answers question and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed
- Assist financial reporting to managers and senior executives
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions
- Prepare VAT returns for review
- Credit control and chasing debt
- Experience of working in the construction / property industry
- Part-Qualified ACCA or CIMA or Finance Graduate keen to continue studies
- Solid experience in accounts with knowledge of supporting with producing Management Accounts
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across all areas of the business
- Driven, enthusiastic with the passion to succeed and progress is essential
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
