Kenny Recruit are actively recruiting a Finance Assistant to join a highly reputable healthcare company. The company has been built through acquisition and organic growth from its first site in London to 45 services in South-East England. They currently support 300 individuals and have 900 staff with an ambition to grow through organic expansion and acquisition to 90 sites+.
We are looking for a highly numerate and self-motivated Finance Assistant to join the friendly, committed, and creative team in Highbury & Islington. Reporting to the Transactional team, headed up by the Group Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records relating to Purchases, Sales and employee expenses. This is a full-time role based in the London office. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a prestigious and award-winning healthcare company.
You do not necessarily need any experience for this role but you must be able to showcase your interest in a finance and accountancy career.
Pay: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
Location: North London (Islington) - 3 days per week in the office
Working hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Post purchase invoices to the accounting system (Sage) once invoices have been approved and coded.
- Monitor the accounts inbox and respond to queries from colleagues and suppliers, as directed by the team.
- Perform weekly payment runs including inputting payments on to the online banking portal and subsequently posting payments on to the accounting system.
- Assist with processing employee expense claims.
- Assist in billings process and posting receipts, with the support of Credit controller.
- Support with audit queries.
- Assist with the development of financial systems and procedures.
- Handle incoming calls to the finance department.
- Any other duties as reasonably required by the Group FC.
Required Qualities and Skills
- A good working knowledge of Excel.
- A good standard of general education.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and team-working skills, with the ability to build good relations, both internally and externally.
- A self-starter, capable of working independently, while following clear instructions.
- Capable of rapid and accurate turn around on a high workload and multiple tasks.
