Northern Education Trust are seeking x3 highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Assistants to work as part of a team of Finance Assistants led by the Senior Finance Officer within the Stockton finance hub of Northern Education Trust.
The ideal candidates will have good organisational and ICT skills including the ability to multi task and work as part of a team in order to support the corporate finance function.
The role will directly report to and support the Senior Finance Officer (SFO) in all matters relating to accounts payable, including raising purchase orders, receiving invoices, validate and process invoices accordingly in line with Trust policy and the Scheme of Delegation, to assist the SFO to produce and submit payment reports, raise cheque or BACS payments, to reconcile supplier accounts and statements. The role will also involve performing tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the debtor account (accounts receivable) including raising invoices, debt collection and cash recording.
Holiday entitlement is 32 days per year FTE (September to August). All other conditions are NJC conditions. Service with a body listed on the redundancy modification order will be recognised for continuous service purposes.
