Our client, a hugely successful privately owned logistics company, is searching for an experienced Finance Business Partner who will deliver exceptional financial performance for both their business and their valued customers, a client base spanning multiple business sectors.
In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with operational managers to provide financial/business support to increase profitability and improve processes, providing management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate strong relationships with senior managers and their teams, working closely with operational management.
- Manage successful open book contractswithin logistics, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Review and assist with commercial business tenders.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis - provide detailed insights into variances.
- Interpret complex financial data and communicate it effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Coordinate the budget and forecasting process
- Offer professional judgment on financial matters, advising on ways to enhance business performance.
- Evaluate capital projects for financial viability and return on investment.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accuracy of financial systems.
- Prepare year-end audit information as required.
- Support the financial department in central reporting and group-wide requirements.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Professional Qualifications: ACCA/CIMA
- Experience: Familiarity with logistics or manufacturing operations (preferred).
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and interact with customers.
- Analytical Skills: Strong modeling and analytical capabilities.
- People Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
