Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner
- Provide key financial reporting, detailed analysis and insight to assist in commercial decision making
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting exercises.
- Development of new KPI’s around revenue and pricing
- Provide high quality, reliable, and timely analysis
- Drive improvements in financial performance
- Assist in the maintenance of data in key internal systems and ensure data is reviewed and reconciled as required
- Ensure key data in budgeting and practice management systems are maintained accurately
- Undertake profitability analysis at client, matter, work-type, Partner and fee-earner level
- Improve overall understanding of financial KPI's and performance across the business
Skills & Attributes of the Finance Business Partner
- A qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
- Experience gained as a Finance Business Partner
- Strong communication skills with demonstrable experience of working with senior stakeholders up to Partner and/or C-Suite level
- Knowledge and experience of a professional services environment would be highly advantageous
- Organised, analytical, pragmatic, methodical, inquisitive and curious, highly articulate and numerate
- Flexible and adoptable with an ability to work in a rapidly changing business environment
- A team player capable of solving complex issues on his/her own.
