Anthony Cole Associates are pleased to be partnering with a nationwide Property / Real Estate organisation that supply essential services to the country, who seek a highly commercial Finance Business Partner / Project Accountant to join the team in a recently created position.
The Finance Business Partner / Project Accountant will be a member of the Management Accounts team reporting to the Finance Manager. The primary key responsibility will be to support the Developments / Capital Programme ensuring funding drawdowns and WIP is accounted for correctly, and the postholder will be responsible for the associated balance sheet reconciliations / Capital budgets. This highly commercial role requires extensive use of Excel and Sage to enable interrogation of data and performing adjustments as required and will also be responsible for project / ad-hoc related Management Accounts tasks, partnering with the wider business as required. Other key aspects of the position include monthly reporting, budgeting, WIP management, assisting with audits & maintaining strong financial controls.
This will be a challenging however highly rewarding opportunity that offers a hybrid work pattern, however the ability to travel to the client’s main offices in London / The Midlands / The Northwest 2 days a week is required.
Qualifications/Knowledge & Application:
Essential
- Part/fully qualified accountant, with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant commercial management accounting experience from within a Time Billing environment (Professional Services, Project Accounting experience or similar).
- Advanced MS Excel Spreadsheet skills.
- Proven knowledge preparation of month end management accounts and other business performance reporting.
- Project Accounting and / or a background in the Property sector is highly desirable.
- Proven Business Partnering experience with the ability to analyse complex financial information leading to positive business outcomes.
- Knowledge of pricing techniques, allocations, and profitability analysis.
- A self-starter and proactive attitude.
- Successful completion of complex forecast & budget cycles.
