Finance Business Partner

Role overview:

Our finance team are an integral part of our decision-making process and are responsible for analysing risks, providing relevant insight, and formulating strategies to drive performance, as well as ensuring we meet all our obligations as a responsible organisation around reporting and financial forecasting.

About the role:

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner on an initial 12-month FTC who will be integral in delivering financial insight and analysis. As a Finance Business Partner, you will report into the Head of Business Partnering and will support the strategic and financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for our Sales & Consumer functions.

The successful applicant will be a key stakeholder to both senior leadership and the wider business through proactively delivering constructive challenges and input into the strategic decision making for their areas.

Day to day you will:

• Support the function in producing accurate revenue (where applicable) and cost forecasting, understanding key drivers of the forecasts and input into a view of risks and opportunities
• Development and provision of relevant and insightful financial reporting and analysis, to drive improved business performance
• Support the on-going measurement of performance against the performance management framework and KPIs
• Assist with the design, costing and implementing of any sales commission plans or exceptional bonus schemes (as applicable) together with ongoing monitoring and reporting the performance against these plans
• For revenue generating functions, comply with the governance structure around contract approvals, provide challenge and support around pricing / market context
• Robust cost management and challenge to drive improved efficiency and "value for money"
• Support the headcount management and approvals process, working closely with the HR Business Partner
• Early identification of business challenges and mitigation of business and financial risk through the application of robust governance procedures
• Regular liaison and reviews with Financial Control, FP&A, Sales Accounting, and other Finance teams
• Involvement in wider finance initiatives to constantly evolve and improve the Group Finance function to make Finance a great place to work

Skills and experience you will have:

• Qualified Accountant i.e. CIMA / ACCA (recent post-qual candidates acceptable)
• Significant Finance Business Partnering experience or equivalent desirable
• Excellent knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting on large and varied budgets
• Experience with month-end close process, including consolidation and reporting
• Strong Interpersonal skills with experience communicating with Senior Stakeholders including Exec members
• Ability to present financial information in a concise and confident manner to both financial and non-financial colleagues
• High level of numerical ability and accuracy

Working Pattern
Our work style for this position is 'hybrid’, which involves spending 40% of your working week at one of our office sites so you’ll need to live within a sensible commutable distance from our office. We’re happy to talk flexible working.
