Finance Business Partner

We are on the hunt for a Finance Business Partner to join a reputable business based in Whiteley. In this newly created role, you will receive great exposure to all aspects of operational accounting and benefit from flexible working, a company bonus, study support and more!
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining financial models to support contract revenue, cost forecasting and analysis
• Working closely with contract managers to present the financial status of projects, highlighting the financial implications of management decisions
• Analysing contracts to identify key financial elements, including revenue recognition and contract costings 
• Regular Business Partnering with contract and project managers, regarding budgets and contract spend 
• Preparation and posting of journal entries
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Supporting the FC in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Assisting with the annual audit and addressing any issues
• Supporting with the preparation of month end statements including P&L, balance sheets and cashflow

What you will need:

• Qualified or studying ACCA / CIMA / ACA or QBE
• Previous experience in a similar role, such as Finance Business Partner / Finance Analyst / Commercial Management Accountant / Management Accountant / Finance Manager 
• A working background in large companies is desirable but not essential
• Strong understanding of Excel
• A commercially astute mindset and great interpersonal skills
