Finance Business Partner

The National Gallery is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and customer focused Finance Business Partner. Working across a portfolio of business areas, they will use their insight to support the organisation in effective financial decision making, ensuring budget holders are provided with high quality and timely information. 

Some key skills required

·    Experience of leading the budget setting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes at a departmental level.

·    Experience of negotiating and influencing senior staff to challenge budgetary assumptions and projections.

·    Experience of evaluating business plans and proposals from budget holders

·    Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly both in writing and verbally to colleagues at all levels in the Gallery.

·    Proven communication skills in dealing with senior staff and ability to relate to non-financial managers.

·    Strong working knowledge of the use of information technology in financial management, budgeting and forecasting and the ability to apply that experience to develop and improve the reporting and monitoring systems at the Gallery.

·    Experience of managing budgets for a wide range of projects with multiple funding sources.
