The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Finance Business Partner to help support the Finance Director (FD) in managing the business’ accounting operations and also help build out the company's FP&A function.

This unique role is suited to someone who already has had some great experiences within an accounting or commercial finance function and is looking to really accelerate their levels of ownership and responsibility within a fast-paced and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering specific company departments: Report creation & maintenance, forecasting & budgeting, variance analytics, and other ad-hoc analytics that supports decision making.
  • Supporting the FD with month-end management reporting across the business: inc. deck creation, commentary, and analytics..
  • Assisting the FD with month-end accruals and prepayments across the business - inc. ‘Deferred Revenue Recognition’
  • Perform the company's AP/AR function: creating sales invoices, chasing sales payments, controlling payment runs, bank reconciliations, and also transactional coding.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts and analysis to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated passion for completing tasks, with a proactive attitude towards elevating financial processes and capabilities.
  • Proven experience in an Accounting or FP&A role, +2 years.
  • Currently studying for a Management Accounting accreditation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience in implementing finance processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Xero is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in GoogleSheets is advantageous.
