The role is permanent and my client offer a competitive salary, bonus & benefits. Hybrid working is 3 days in the office 2 at home. So you will be living within a commutable distance of EC3. - Analysis of bank receipts and payments and accurate and timely processing of related entries on the company accounting system
- Reconciliation of cash receipts and payments with accounting entries
- Processing payments to clients (premiums and claims)
- Involved in the preparation of daily bank reconciliations
- Dealing with foreign currency and exchange issues, as necessary
- Run standard and ad-hoc accounting reports, as necessary
- Responsible for (with assistance as required) any unidentified cash, liaising with colleagues, external parties and banks in order to identify these or return these to sender
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience of working in a commercially focused finance function
- Organised and able to prioritise/re-prioritise due to constantly changing circumstances
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and working with financial software/applications
- Previous experience within insurance would be highly desirable but financial services exposure is essential
