Harvest Healthcare are a successful division of Prism Healthcare, manufacturing and distributing an extensive range of top-tier healthcare equipment for the care sector. Prism are owned by P/E backers Charme Capital, with Harvest being one of the most successful divisions within the group. There are ambitious plans for the business, making this opportunity an extremely exciting opportunity.
The Finance Director will be expected to be a visible presence across the entirety of the business. The role will have full autonomy over the finance function and be expected to be in the detail of the numbers and the subsequent analysis. The role will be a key Business Partner to the Managing Director, helping to support him and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team in devising and implementing future strategic plans.
There are strong financial controls already in place due to the stability and quality of processes brought in by the previous Finance Director. That enables the new Finance Director to start with an excellent foundation, whilst still having room to continuously improve the function that they will own from top to bottom. The role will manage a small and talented team, with expectations to develop the individuals.
The Finance Director will work with the Chief Financial Officer, reporting periodically and ensuring the financial integrity and growth of the division. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain exposure to working with Private Equity, with the FD expected to present to and work closely with the Group’s central finance leadership team and Charme – developing reporting processes to help unlock further profitable growth. Prism are a highly ambitious group and this role will help the Group Finance Director and CFO further develop the Group function in preparation for further growth.
The role will business partner closely with the rest of the local Executive team, helping to find marginal gains across all commercial, operational and financial areas of the organisation. The Finance Director will work with an experienced Managing Director – playing a key part in unlocking the potential within the business and facilitating further growth.
With the potential growth of Harvest, the Group and Exec team are looking for someone who can grow with the role and business. The role would suit a strong up and coming finance leader, who has been either a Financial Controller or someone who has been the Head of Finance for a Division and is looking to take the next step up into their first time finance leadership position. Personality will be key, with only candidates who can show that they have the drive and ambition required to have an impact considered.
We are looking for someone who;
- Is a UK Finance Qualified Leader
- Has led a finance team on a day to day basis
- Can demonstrate an ability to unlock marginal gains, both operationally and within reporting and processes
- Embraces the reporting challenges and demands associated with working for an ambitious P/E-led group
- Has a clear background in building and developing strong relationships with key internal leaders that have had a positive impact on the operational performance of a business
- Has experience and the confidence to forge positive relationships with all of the key stakeholders
- Has worked in a fast-paced business in a commercially led industry. Experience of working through a period of growth would be beneficial
Making the step up to Finance Director is one of the harder career moves to make, especially into a high growth business led by Private Equity. Experience within P/E is not essential for this role, making it a rare opportunity to get exposure to an ownership structure that many FDs and CFOs strive to break into.
