Finance Director

Your new company
You will be joining a growing, consumer-led organisation based close to Guildford, Surrey. The bonus is growing significantly in the UK and Europe and as part of this growth, they seek a highly commercial finance leader to join their Board to drive them onto their next stage of evolution. You will be taken on a role within a fast-paced and highly competitive sector.
Your new role
Reporting into the Chief Exec based within the UK HQ, you will take on a board-level role to lead the financial stewardship but also drive the commercial activities to positively impact revenue and margin growth. You\'ll help to set the short, mid and long term agenda for the business including budgets, forecasts and financial modelling. You\'ll also spot new opportunities to drive market penetration and growth and work closely with the commercial teams to support their business planning. Alongside this, you will lead on key finance projects that drive best use of systems as well as strong financial controls. Day to day you will manage a talented finance team made up of both qualified and part-qualified accountants.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful and in addition to your professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/equivalent), you should have strong and proven leadership, strategic and change skills. You should also have recent proven experience within the retail or consumer goods sector. Whilst having experience at FD level is highly advantageous, if you have worked at Senior Manager or Financial Controller level and believe you have the right skills to excel in this job, it would be great to hear from you. In addition, you should be locally based to Guildford and comfortable commuting to the office at least 3 days a week.
