Finance Director

LHH are working exclusively with a leading charity on their search for a Finance Director. Based on the Isle of Wight in Cowes, this role would suit a qualified accountant with strong people skills, looking to get involved in an incredible organisation.
Salary: GBP75,000 - GBP85,000Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
Driving commercial behaviour throughout the organisation with a key focus on improving access to financial information and financial resilienceEnsuring the appropriate business plans and processes are in place to ensure the long-term viability of the charityProviding and presenting sound financial advice and accounts to the CEO, the Board of Trustees, and FSCProduction and presentation of annual reports and accounts for the charity and its trading subsidiary to comply with statutory accounting standards and principles, as well as Charity Commission rulesLeading the budgeting processManagement of 5 direct reports, providing 1-1 sessions and reviewsReport to the Board of Trustees, FSC, and the ORSC on a quarterly basis on financial performance and risk Person Specification:
Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMASounds knowledge of charity law and SORP complianceGood knowledge of managing organisational risk, business insurance, negotiating, and forming contractsProven experience in a strategic financial leadership roleProven project management experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating gravitas and confidence at Board level
