Join Brett Aggregates as a Finance Manager. Acting as the primary support for relevant Commercial, Operational and other support teams, you will provide financial counsel at an exciting time in our history.
Your Role at Brett
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts in a timely manner.
- Lead annual budget and monthly forecast processes, advising on tactical and strategic assumptions with all relevant managers
- Proactively identifying and improving finance and business processes to ensure fast, accurate management information is available.
- Maintaining and improving financial control, including maintaining a clean balance sheet.
- Business partnering with operational and commercial departments of the business to assist in delivering business goals
- Analyse business performance against Budget, Forecast and Prior Year on a timely basis, providing insight and challenge to managers to drive improved business results.
- Operate in line with company standards for financial control so as to safeguard company assets.
Your knowledge, skills and experience
- Analysis skills - ability to interrogate systems, analyse data and produce insightful information which can be used to improve business performance.
- Communication & Interpersonal - ability to make financial concepts accessible and digestible at all levels.
- Qualified member of ACA / CIMA / ACCA.
- Management Accounting - competence in key management accounting concepts
- Experience of finance business partnering
- Advanced excel user.
- Experience of using integrated business systems / ERP in addition to accounting software.
- Compliance - knowledge of and ability to adhere to standards and procedures, particularly current accounting standards.
- Innovation & Change - ability to adapt to changing circumstances; continually seeks ways to innovate and improve.
- Communication & Interpersonal - competence in advising, challenging and influencing business partners and senior management.
