The main purpose of this role is to manage the financial services for the UK&I business within the Group and ensure alignment with any Service Level Agreement (SLA) in place. This includes ensuring the results of the Group are accurately reported within required timescales for both local and Group reporting basis, management of the ledgers, reporting to co-investors for subsidiaries and any required VAT support.

Description
- Management reporting for UK&I entities;
- Statutory reporting for UK&I entities;
- Compliance with Accounting Standards and Companies Act;
- Ledger management;
- External auditor interface;
- Submitting group reporting quarterly. Overall process and reporting;
- Shareholder support on ad hoc issues;
- VAT and ROS compliance;
- Provide support as required for business development activities in the UK&I Group, such as financial due diligence and M&A support.
Profile
Technical Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles with previous experience of the preparation and review of accounts
- Technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IE GAAP and IFRS;
- Qualified Accountant with recognised body (E.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA);
- Analytical and detail conscious;
- Previous accounting experience ideally within a large Company/Group environment;
- Ability to deal with complexity, keeping up to date with Commercial developments in a changing environment;
Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to liaise with both finance and non-finance colleagues up to Director level;
- Ability to present financial information using appropriate media to senior management;
- Ability to deal with confidential material in an appropriate manner;
- Ability to challenge work of others in an effective but sensitive manner;
- A focus on problem solving and ability to liaise with a number of departments to obtain optimum solutions.
- Ability to influence stakeholders;
- Ability to balance requirements of multiple stakeholders.
Commercial awareness:
- Relevant industry experience preferred;
- Awareness of customers and business partners;
- Understanding of electricity market in the UK&I and challenges that face the renewable energy industry;
IT skills:
- Knowledge of SAP (preferred)
- Advanced excel skills required
