Radar Recruitment are working with a successful, privately-owned organisation that operates within the Logistics industry, supporting them in their search for a Finance Manager on a 1 Year FTC. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small finance team and the preparation of management accounts, whilst there is significant project work that is carried out across the back-office function of the organisation. This FTC is initially for 1 year, however depending on business performance and team requirements, there could be an opportunity for this to be extended or go permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure team have posted journals on time with sufficient accuracy.
- Prepayments and accruals.
- Management of fixed asset register.
- All relevant financial reporting.
- Monthly and quarterly management accounts pack preparations.
- Management and mentoring of a small finance team along with additional members of administration staff.
- Deputising for the Financial Controller.
- Support the Financial Controller with business improvement plans, this could include process improvements, system use, automation of data entry.
Profile:
- Formally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), we are happy to consider QBE with relevant experience.
- Have the ability to commit to a 1 Year FTC.
- Available to start immediately, or on short notice.
- Have operated in a similar capacity for several years, roles may include Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Head of Finance.
- Exposure to different accounting systems will be important, Sage experience will be highly advantageous.
- Intermediate - advanced skill level with MS Excel.
- Can work well within a small team.
On Offer:
- The role pays between £55k and £65k DOE.
- 1 Year FTC initially.
