Finance Manager required to join a thriving Surrey based company that provides support and care throughout the county. The Finance Manager is responsible for the delivery of the organisation’s operational finance function, including the day-to-day management of the Finance Department and its staff (five).
The organisation offers day and community support services, supported employment, enhanced home living and support, training and skills for independence and a professional social work practice team. The Finance Manager reports to the Chief Finance and Resources Officer.
The Finance Manger will need to have a full professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA as well as a proven track record of managing a finance department.

Finance Manager - Sample Responsibilities
- Management and supervision of monthly management accounts.
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts, and liaison with the external auditors.
- Managing cashflow and preparation of cashflow forecast.
- Supervision of purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger.
- Supervision of debtors and debt collection framework.
- Supervision of VAT and VAT returns.
- Supervision of asset register.
- Supervision of employee expenses system.
- Co-ordination of fixed asset accounting.
- Develop and manage internal financial control framework, including budget holder authorisation levels across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Working with the HR department, check monthly payroll reports and ensure payroll systems are efficient and effective.
- Management of insurance arrangements within the organisation.
- Management and supervision of all banking activities.
- Ad hoc costing, financial modelling and cost benefit analysis.
- Management of Finance Department staff, their development and training, via regular supervision.
- Identifying efficiencies and savings across the organisation.
- Supporting the Senior Management Team and assisting with strategic planning.
- Participation in meetings and corporate events as required.
- Deputise for CFRO when required.
