Supervising the day-to-day operations of the finance department
Leading and developing staff within the accounts team
Collaborating with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to achieve company strategies
Preparing and presenting Management Accounts and analysis
Drafting Financial Statements and supporting yearend schedules
Managing the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors
Creating cashflow forecasts and overseeing cashflow management
Reviewing, improving, and overseeing the internal control environment
Managing the financial accounting system
Overseeing the payroll process, including pension administration
Ensuring completion of all regulatory and statutory filings
Managing directors' personal companies and tax returns
Fulfilling any additional duties as requested by the Finance Director or the Board
Skills and Knowledge:
Team management (2 direct reports)
Financial statement preparation
Previous experience in a similar position (preferably in a regulated environment)
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) expertise
Payroll experience
Proficient in problem-solving, organizational, and time management
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
