Your new role
An interim Finance Manager role, reporting to the Finance Director and leading a small team. You will be responsible for preparation of the monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns. The role includes oversight of accounts payable and cash and bank transactions, working with and mentoring the Accounts Assistants. You will have ownership of key elements of the month-end reporting cycle and the preparation of annual statutory accounts for entities within the group. In addition, the role also holds responsibilities for some aspects of Treasury Management and banking. You will also provide information for commercial insight across the business. It is a deadline driven role, the work is fast paced, varied, and challenging, providing plenty of opportunity to develop knowledge and skills, creatively solve problems and support the business in achieving its goals.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience and a high level of IT literacy. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to take the initiative. A strong eye for detail and a methodical approach. You will be confident, highly motivated and deadline-driven. A good communicator, you will work well within a team and across senior stakeholders. Previous people management experience would be an advantage, as would previous experience in a financial services business. You will be available to start quickly and happy to commit to six months with the business.
