Form of workRobert Half are currently supporting our client, a well loved business based in Central Bristol, in their recruitment of a Finance Manager - Controls on a permanent part time basis. A job share role, offering a flexible 3 days per week, the salary on offer is up to £65,000 (FTE equivalent) + bonus + benefits.
A lovely culture, you will be surrounded by positive and supportive peers and an approachable, well-experienced line manager. The role is responsible for the Financial Control framework within the business, advising stakeholders on risk mitigation, control designs & operations / improvements and optimisation strategy. You will be partnering, working across the business driving value add prior to internal audit.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess changes and impacts on control environment - advising stakeholders on how to ensure they maintain compliance obligations & improves their control framework. Ensuring all processes are documented fully
- Report on progress, manage issues & be a point of escalation is risk mitigation
- Deliver value add improvements on the control framework adhering to company standards and accounting requirements
- Produce reporting on key risks and present to senior management
- Communicate issues, findings and opportunities
About You:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong partnering skills
- Have a passion for value add
- Prior controls experience
