Finance Manager

Based: Remote role, must be based in the North West

Salary: £40k-£60k dependent on experience + bonus + private medical + benefits

We are exclusively working with a fantastic, growing SME who were established 6 years ago. The business has grown in that time forecasting 50% further growth in 2024 and now looking to bring their first finance person in-house. This role will be supported by a portfolio FD and outsourced transactional finance team but take sole responsibility for all things finance in a standalone role reporting to the MD.

An exciting opportunity for someone to be involved in the business growth, guiding the MD with financial analysis, implementing new processes/procedures and shaping the finance team for the future

Role:

• Producing monthly management accounts - P&L, cash flow etc
• Balance sheet actuals compared to forecast and budget, analysis of variances and presentation and commentary against metrics
• Controlling forecast model - update with actuals and modify as necessary
• Cash flow reporting
• Revenue, cost, profit analysis, pricing models
• Supplier payment and payroll runs, liaising with outsourced payroll team
• Forecast costs and reporting of individual projects
• Implementing financial processes, controls and procedures
• Finance input into IT system design and set up front to back end
• Financial competitor & market analysis, keeping up to date and reporting
• Collaborating with other departmental managers to deliver the company’s overall objectives
• Overseeing outsourced finance departments work ensuring up to date and accurate

Experience:

• ACCA/CIMA Qualified OR QBE
• Experience within an SME environment as number 1 or number 2 desirable
• Experience on various systems/Excel and systems design/implementation strong advantage
• Self-motivated, confident and able to liaise with multiple non-finance stakeholders
