Management Accountant

Management Accountant - Manchester - Contract for 6 months with a possibility to go Permanent

Our client based in Tameside are looking for a Management Accountant to join them initially for 3 months. Management Accountant is a crucial role within the finance function of the business and is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and growing team, where collaborate working and learning opportunities are part of everyday.

As Management Accountant you will be responsible for the collecting, measuring, accumulating and interpreting of internal cost accounting information for all operating companies.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to national and regional sales leadership to report key performance metrics and results of special projects
• Liaise with Auditors on preparation and completion of the working papers, supporting schedules and responses associated with eh annual audit.
• Provide accurate and timely information to enable the company to make a strategic financial decisions and achieve its overall business objectives
• Balance sheet control responsibilities, including ensuring that all accounts are reconciled and appropriately accounted for in line with the UK accounting standards and group/company policy
• provide insight and analysis with regards to sales and operational performance, working collaborative with other departments to drive improvements
• To be involved in all areas of the finance function, taking part in or running ad hoc projects as required

Role Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or Equivalent) with at least 3 years post qualified experience
• Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and proved clear, well thought out recommendations
• Strong team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action
• Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations
• Excellent Excel skills
• Analytical skills
• Detail oriented and organized
• Communication and presentation skills
• Preferably exposure/experience in a manufacturing or processing industry
