Responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
- Manage all financial activities of the company, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and standards.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Oversee and check employee payroll.
- Facilitating communication with lenders regarding the financing of company assets.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with audit and tax requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Assist the finance team, providing support, and training as needed to develop their skills and expertise.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making processes with accurate financial information.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial risk management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise financial processes and systems.
The successful Finance Manager will:
- Have proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.
- Possess a strong understanding of management accounting principles and practices.
- Own excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Be able to communicate financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Ideally be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
