Our client, a non-profit organisation based in Central Manchester are looking to appoint an experienced, qualified Finance Manager on a Part Time basis for 3 days per week. This role will be responsible for managing the day to day accounting, including budgeting and forecasting, reporting on financial performance and streamlining accountancy procedures and systems financial and performance reporting, budgets, financial and accountancy procedures and systems. This role offers flexible hours, hybrid working and requires applicants to be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified and available at short notice.
Location: Manchester City Centre (hybrid)
Salary: upto c.£50,000 full time equivalent (c.£28,000 over 3 days)
Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing financial systems and procedures as are necessary
* Production of annual budget, reporting and accounts for the Board
* Carrying out monthly budget reconciliation, suspense account reconciliation, bank account reconciliation and ensure that sufficient funds are available in the bank for all activities
* Ensuring the management accounts and performance reports are produced for both internal and external use
* Ensuring regular budget reconciliation is carried out
* Liaising with the Company's external auditors
* Overseeing salaries and purchasing processes
* Maintaining the finances and administration of the Company pension scheme
* Preparation of monthly VAT returns
* Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring accuracy
* Managing the contract negotiation regarding utilities etc
* Preparation of the half yearly grant claim
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - or equivalent
* Sage experience
* Previous experience of a standalone, hands on role
