Finance Manager - Vc Backed Tech Firm

Eames Consulting is partnering with a venture capital-Backed Technology retail-focused business, which is in search of its first dedicated finance team member.

The company has experienced year-on-year growth since its inception and has expanded to around 80 employees. Currently focusing on the UK market, it has plans to expand into the European market in the coming year. With series funding in the pipeline, they aim to strengthen their team with a crucial hire, offering significant opportunities for career advancement.

The chosen candidate will report directly to the Head of Finance and Strategy, providing exposure to C-suite executives. Day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse, including the management of outsourced accountants to ensure timely and accurate reporting. There are no immediate plans to bring accounting in-house, emphasising a value-added approach, including ownership of financial planning and analysis while contributing to the company's strategic objectives. Over time, as the company continues to grow, there is a plan to build the finance team around this individual, providing a genuine long-term opportunity for the right candidate.

What We're Looking For:

• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with approximately 4-6 years of experience, either from an accountancy practice or an industry-based role (experience in tech/retail preferred, but other backgrounds will be considered).
• Someone who is ambitious, entrepreneurial, and has a knack for adding value; the role offers plenty of opportunities to propose ideas and take the lead on projects.
