SalaryA new opportunity has arisen within a Consultancy services business to join as their Management Accountant.
The role involves the day-to-day management of financial processes and will report to the Group Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Keeping general and subsidiary ledgers accurate and up to date.
- Being responsible for processing of all project related ledger entries.
- Producing timely and accurate financial and management information including project performance and analysis.
- Conducting variance analyses and investigate deviations from project budgets or forecasts.
- Driving the project monthly invoicing cycle.
- Monitoring and Managing supplier purchase orders.
- Maintenance of project cash flow forecasts and incorporating this information into overall company forecasts.
- Ensuring compliance with Group financial control policies
- Working closely with Project delivery teams in order to understand, influence and drive project financial performance
- Conducting project expense reviews in order to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Championing financial awareness and diligence within project delivery team.
- Driving continuing financial process improvement within the project delivery team.
- Supporting the Group Financial Manager in completing the year end statutory audit.
- Liaising with other members of the team and across the business on accounting matters.
- Ad hoc duties may be requested by the Group Financial Manager or CFO.
Requirements:
- ACCA / CIMA / ACA newly qualified or Finalist
- Experience working within an SME environment is desirable
- Working experience of managing projects / project analysis would be preferred
- Strong IT skills
- Good knowledge of financial reporting systems
- Experience with Dynamics Business Central would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels
