The Role:
A mid-large sized iconic design practice, that are famed for their innovative and design-led projects around the globe are seeking a Finance Officer to join their team in London.
You will be part of small, friendly and close-knit finance team and will report to the Financial Controller, providing technical support across the sales and purchase ledger functions, carrying out balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations and other ad-hoc finance related tasks. You will be a key member of the finance team and will work collaboratively with the team to ensure the company financials are processed and produced timely and accurately. The ideal person will have previously worked in a similar role, and although design/architecture/built environment experience is a benefit, it is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide all-round technical and transactional finance support
- Prepare draft quarterly VAT returns
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliations
- Carry out bank reconciliations
- Prepare sales invoices
- Credit control – chasing outstanding invoices and resolving and invoice/account queries
- Prepare expenses in relation to sales invoicing
- Reconciling expense claims and preparing payment runs
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide financial analysis and reporting as required
Key Skills:
- Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Ideally part-qualified however, solid experience would considered if not
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience across sales/purchase ledger, bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Confident providing financial analysis
- Meticulous with a keen eye for details
- Collaborative and friendly in your approach
- Commercially minded with a can-do attitude
