About the Job:
Provide comprehensive support to the Finance Department, including the key areas of general administration, co-ordination of departmental budget, service management and financial management in a high quality, cost-effective and efficient manner in support of the department’s key role.
Key Information:
- Hourly Pay Rate: £19.30 PAYE or £24.52 Umbrella
- Hours: Full time 35 hours per week, Mon-Friday
- Contract Length: 3 months (View to extend)
- Location: Southwark/London Bridge (Hybrid working, 2 days in the office each week)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Client: London Fire Brigade
- To assist in the preparation of the revenue estimates for the Finance Department.
- To prepare information concerning the take-up of training courses and forecast future demand and costs.
- To assist in monitoring of expenditure against budgets and advising management of any significant variances and need for remedial action.
- To assist with the preparation of the department’s final accounts, collating and providing necessary returns.
- To provide financial information, advice and support to the staff in the department.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
- Experience with providing Finance administration support
- Confident with a range of financial tasks such as raising purchase orders, bank reconciliations and accounts payable and receivable
- Highly skilled use of MS office applications such as word, excel and outlook
