Finance & Payroll Business Partner
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Full time (Monday to Friday)
Our client is looking for a Finance and Payroll Business Partner to join their team.
This exciting new role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the talented team in preparing financial information for internal and external reporting and your work will play a crucial role in decision-making.
You will be integral to the finance function and will play an active part in statutory accounts, payroll, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end finance processes.
- Updating and maintaining accurate financial inputs on the system.
- Recording purchases and supplier invoices and payments.
- Sales invoice support and customer payment allocation and statements.
- Deliver monthly profit & loss statement, balance sheet and cashflow statements.
- Prepare forecasts and annual budgets.
- Take responsibility for timely and accurate preparation of quarterly VAT return and submission to HMRC.
- Working with the Payroll & Pension provider to ensure smooth monthly payments.
- Prepare commissions and process expenses.
- Complete bespoke analysis as required and collaborate with internal team to support business projects.
- Involved in process improvements and making decisions regarding the proper application of finance principles.
Experience Required
- Have a solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience of financial reporting and working to deadlines.
- Some experience in processing payroll.
- Proficient in utilising Excel (including lookups and pivot tables).
- Team player, able to work effectively within frameworks without direct supervision.
- Strong communicator, who is positive about change and innovation.
- Must have a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
