The Opportunity:

The Finance Specialist, Financial Planning& Analysis (FP&A) will be part of the FP&A team working withthe Manager, FP&A, and Finance Business Partners providing support acrossthe wider Finance teams in Belfast and Chicago.

About the role:

As part of this role, the successful candidatewill:

Responsibilities:

  • Support the FP&A Manager in the development and production of financial reporting and analysis for the Firm's Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Budgeting is a substantial part of this role; some previous experience of budgeting is an advantage but not critical. The role will support the wider team in annual budget setting, quarterly forecasting, and regular monthly reporting across the firm.
  • Provide support to Associate Director, Finance Business Partners on all aspects of financial reporting and analysis. Aid the team to drive financial excellence and strategic decision-making across the firm.
  • Must possess a minimum intermediate proficiency in Excel, with financial modelling skills considered advantageous but not obligatory, as training will be provided by the FP&A Manager
  • Have confidence and experience in a deadline-driven environment, including the capability to produce innovative and insightful ad hoc reports and analysis, showcasing adaptability and quick response to evolving information needs of the firm and/or stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Finance leaders within our Centres, local offices, and regional Finance leadership as required, ensuring transparency and fairness. Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
  • The exact scope of the role is constantly expanding and changing, the role requires a flexible, can-do, thinking-beyond-the-box attitude.

Essential Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will need:

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree related to business or equivalent work experience in consulting, accounting, or finance.
  • Strong Excel (intermediate level as a minimum – strong command of data analysis functions and data manipulation including v-lookups, and pivot tables)
  • Experience in developing financial and operational reports is a plus.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and experience of financial systems (SAP preferred)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to present to senior management and a personable, friendly approach is very important.
  • Confidence to communicate in a multi-cultural, multi-level environment.
  • Flexible and well-organized
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to understand and interpret data.
  • Independent thinker who is comfortable working in an unstructured environment
  • Excellent time management and organizing skills; ability to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines.
