Interim Management Accountant/ Fbp

Interim Management Accountant/ finance business partner (Bristol)3-6-month temp assignment (starting asap)
In this position you will act at as a Management Accountant/ Finance Business Partner. The overall purpose of this position is to play a key role in managing financial performance and provide proactive financial support to budget holders based on a sound understanding of the dedicated business area.
You will assist senior finance staff with their periodic and ad-hoc tasks, providing support across the full range of Finance department activities.
The successful candidate will have a number of core accountabilities in the role, including:

• Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to key stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, and monitor variances against forecasts and KPIs
• Provide understanding regarding variances, and proactively engage with the business to allow corrective actions and drive improvements and identify opportunities for cost reduction
• Proactively contribute to decision support and analysis
• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, procedures and deadlines.
• Work closely across departments to provide financial insights and support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives as required
