Finance Support Assistant

Come and be part of the Finance Team here at Derbyshire Constabulary to help deliver a wide range of finance processes and administrative support.

The Finance Team are looking to recruit one full time Finance Support Assistant on a 12 month fixed term basis, based at Force Headquarters.

What you’ll be doing

• To provide general administrative support to the organisation including recording information on force and third-party computer systems.
• Reconciliation, checking and processing for payment, invoices, overtime, expenses and corporate credit cards into both finance and payroll systems.
• Raising of debtor invoices, debt collection and cash handling arrangements.
• Maintaining the force cashbook and processing banking receipts and payments into the Finance System.

The must haves

• Be able to assimilate information, problem solve, challenge and influence to effective resolution and decision making where necessary.
• The ability to prioritise and manage workloads to undertake a diverse range of tasks.
• Have excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft products or equivalent.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
