Financial Accountant

Shearer Associates are pleased to be retained by this well known FMCG brand in the recruitment of a Financial Accountant . This key role , working closely alongside the Financial Controller will allow you the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, offering invaluable insights and guidance to drive financial efficiency and growth.

Your duties will include

• Preparation and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for all group companies.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assisting with production of board reporting.
• Preparation of the statutory financial statements.
• Collaborate with external auditors and assist in the annual audit process.
• Producing statements and liaising with professional introducers regarding commission payable.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
