We are seeking a Financial Accountant who will play a pivotal role in the timely and accurate delivery of entity reporting, directly influencing the SJP Group's overall performance, which is communicated externally through the Group Report and Accounts.

What you'll be doing:

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Developing detailed working papers to ensure comprehensive financial documentation.
• Post financial journals as needed to maintain accurate financial records.
• Coordinate and manage intercompany settlements to ensure smooth financial transactions.
• Prepare and deliver relevant management accounts to contribute to informed decision-making.
• Play a key role in monthly entity review meetings and assist in the preparation of necessary figures.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Find opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to implementing changes.
• Support relevant consolidation journals to facilitate accurate financial reporting.
• Contribute to analytical reviews to provide insights into financial performance.

Who we're looking for:

We are looking for individuals who possess:

• People Management Skills: Potential involvement in managing at least one trainee Financial Accountant.
• Accounting Knowledge: Strong process and accounting knowledge, including statutory accounting.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to challenge processes and outcomes, with a keen eye for detail.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Time Management: Good time management and organisational skills.
• Relationship Building: Ability to develop relationships across departments and with third parties.
• Qualified accountant or in the later stages of a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ACA
