Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
- General ledger and balance sheet management including reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ownership of journal process
- Support the Accounting & Finance department in financial analysis and tax preparation
- Engage in regulatory compliance duties
- Participate in comprehensive training and mentorship programmes
- Liaise with central finance to resolve any queries
- Preparation of supporting information for tax compliance activities (VAT, CT etc)
- Undertake regular analysis of key cost lines (e.g. agency spend, overtime, professional fees, etc)
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Accountant will have:
- Strong academic background
- AAT level 4
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- The ability to work well within a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development
