SalaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a public sector organisation the statutory financial accounting responsibility and production of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy.
As the Financial Accountant, you will produce the statutory financial accounts. Liaising as required with the Financial Services Manager, the external auditor and other bodies as required. You will also be the key contact with the external auditor in relation to the audit of the statutory accounts.
Leading on the presentation of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy and the lead financial support in the preparation and subsequent monitoring of funding bids.
There is also the exciting responsibility of working closely with a Digital Transformation team to continue to improve the quality of life for local communities by continually driving forward customer service improvements.
We looking to speak with senior and experienced accounting professionals ideally with a public sector background. You will have a strong understanding of the process of closing the accounts. And you will have full professional membership of CIPFA or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
