Financial Accountant - German Speaker 

£50-60k plus benefits 

Stockport/Hybrid (3 days in office/2 from home)

Rare opportunity to work within this successful business who operate worldwide. 

Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will involve delivering financial accounting services to internal customers and senior stakeholders and adding value to the business by tax and VAT management.

Key Responsibilities 

. Manage external statutory reporting and overseeing the audit process for the Group and subsidiary accounts.

• Monthly preparation of the group consolidation

• Preparing monthly financial accounts for the entities, including full balance sheet reconciliations.

• Reviewing accounting entries to ensure the financial ledger's integrity.

• Ensuring internal and external reporting deadlines are achieved.

• Ensure local GAAP and IFRS compliance requirements are met.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including external fiscal authorities (tax/VAT).

• Assisting in calculating and maintaining tax balances in the ledger.

• Assisting in the implementation of the group's transfer pricing policy.

• Managing the group's WHT position, including the recovery and submission of CT61s.

• Managing group debt arrangements.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluent German Speaker essential

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 3 years post qualification experience with strong technical accounting/compliance background with exposure to GAAP and IFRS

• Strong IT skills - accounting software and advanced excel

• Experience in preparing group consolidations with multi-currency entities.

• Experience in finance projects and systems improvements.

• Excellent business partnering experience and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
