Contract Type: Fixed term appointment for 12 months Are you interested in working for a Russell Group University? This key role in Financial Accountancy and Treasury Section will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to work in an interesting and challenging area which is at the heart of the central Finance function. You will have regular contact with other sections within the Finance Department, and will contribute to the provision of a professional service to the rest of the University and external stakeholders. You will be part of a close-knit team where the emphasis is on helping each other and providing an excellent service. Financial Accountant Responsibilities: Accounting for fixed assets Arranging periodic valuations of University land, buildings and other property Providing information for the University group financial forecast Assisting in the production of the financial statements and maintenance of the general ledger Key Skills & Attributes Required: A professional accountancy qualification (qualified or part qualified) Good technical accountancy knowledge and experience Sound computer skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Why apply for this role?
