The business is undergoing significant internal change (systems, financial control, acquisitions) at the moment and has a very strong market position which is on an upward trajectory. This is a fantastic time to join a leading business that prides itself on it's people strategy and development and gives the opportunity for both internal domestic and international growth.
In this role, you'll start off supporting the Financial Controller with Rent Costs and Fixed Assets for a rapidly expanding area of the business, and the role will evolve to include more analysis and elements of business partnering.
Specifically, day to day you'll be:

- Reviewing leases and providing detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis at month end.
- Work closely with the wider finance team to maintain and enhance processes and provide clear reporting.
- Ownership of budgets, forecasts, and medium term planning for rent, depreciation and Capex, with commentary of key drivers and variances.
- Ownership of IFRS16 lease accounting and forecasts.
- Support with monthly fixed asset financial close processes.
- Support transformational change to fixed asset processes to meet the demands of the growing business.
What you'll need to succeed
- You'll need to be a qualified accountant either with relevant industry experience, or making your first move from practice.
- Fixed asset accounting experience is highly desired.
- You'll have analytical skills, enabling you to interpret and present complex data to senior stakeholders.
- You'll be an experienced user of Microsoft Excel and able to use Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and Sum Ifs.
- Confidence to articulate the output of your analysis and challenge both the approach and results when necessary.
What you'll get in return
- Competitive package up to £55,000 + annual bonus.
- Extensive benefits package including private healthcare, matched pension to 5% and great discounts.
- Hybrid working policy (3 in, 2 at home) with condensed hours considered for qualified candidates.
- Generous holiday allowance up to 27 days annual leave + birthday off + holiday purchase scheme.
