Job Description
Financial Accounting Manager (Southampton)
* Collaborate with a compact team overseeing financial reporting (HSBC Group, statutory, and regulatory reporting) for a life insurance entity, retail insurance business, and other smaller business sectors;
* Assist the team across various aspects of financial reporting;
* Ensure a resilient control environment by overseeing key financial controls, including balance sheet reconciliations;
* Contribute to finance transformation projects;
* Aid in managing risks by monitoring and reporting on critical financial risk areas like market, credit, and liquidity risk;
* Provide administrative support to governance committees such as the Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and the Financial Reporting Committee (FRC);
* Work in tandem with the business to facilitate new propositions and foster growth.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA)
