Financial Accounts Assistant

Salary: 28,000 - 35,000 + great benefits (Study Support, Bonus, On-Site Parking)

Location: Blackburn

Duration: Permanent

Sellick Partnership have been engaged to recruit a Financial Accounts Assistant for an industry leading wholesale business based in Blackburn. Since the businesses started 40 years ago they have been constantly growing and as a result they are looking to expand into a different market, resulting in an exciting position opening within the finance department.

Within this role you will be responsible for processing key payments to suppliers, liaising with the Banks on a daily basis and assisting with Month End accounting duties. With the role and company ever changing the business is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Sending foreign payments to suppliers
  • BACS payments to UK suppliers/expenses
  • Assisting with the Monthly Management Accounts
  • Processing and matching large number of invoices and PO Numbers
  • Other Ad-Hoc duties

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An understanding of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and all-round Accounting
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • AAT qualified or currently studying a CIMA/ACCA
  • The ability to learn new systems (Sage 200 ideally)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office ability
  • Outstanding communication skills
