Financial Accounts Manager
Contract: Permanent
Location: Maidstone
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working 9.00am-5.00pm.

KIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent and we are recruiting.This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to join our team.
You will be responsible for leading a small Financial Accounts team providing credible, accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports for our Hospital.
Role Responsibilities include:
- To prepare accurate monthly management accounts and reports for the Hospital.
- To prepare and assist with financial presentations.
- Support the preparation of the Year-end Accounts and primary point of contact for audit queries.
- To manage the Financial Accounts team of 4, including Accounts Payable, setting objectives and reviewing performance.
- Business Partner with Departmental Leads to provide financial support and produce ad hoc reports as required as well as holding Business Review Meetings.
- Prepare indirect costs budget, and assist with the staffing budget with the budget holders, attending all budget meetings. Including completing the budget packs, and uploading the finalised budget into Compucare Financials in time for the new financial year.
- To produce accurate reconciliations, ensuring all time scales are met and any differences addressed.
- To ensure key controls are in place and monitored, addressing any issues.
- Ensure the Hospital meets its full liability to deduct and account for PAYE, National Insurance and other deductions.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ICAEW)
- Self-motivated with the desire to learn
- Demonstrates drive for continuous improvement and maximising performance, productivity and efficiency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Ability to communicate by multiple means with clarity and consistency
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities appropriately
Desirable
- 3 years experience in a similar healthcare environment
