This role offers the opportunity to be a key player in our financial management, contributing to the success and growth of our organization.

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably within the construction industry, and possess exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insight into the company's financial performance.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to optimize financial resources.
• Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing variance analysis and financial reporting to senior management.
• Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to monitor project financial performance and ensure profitability.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
