Our Client is an organisation overseeing a broad and interesting range of activities which operate in a family office environment, they are seeking an Accounts Assistant / Financial Controller to join the team.
The primary focus is in the arts, art gallery, museum and related logistics and infrastructure together with real estate development, regeneration and investment. As an Accounts Assistant / Financial Controller working from the London office, you will work closely with the Finance Director, Chief Executive and external advisers; managing and overseeing the delivery of timely accurate record keeping, month-end management accounts, cash flow and statutory accounts and tax returns. This is a dynamic, varied role, with the below key tasks being carried out.
- Oversee an efficient, cost effective book and record keeping process.
- Collate internal payroll and employee information, liaising with the external provider to ensure smooth running of the payroll process and relevant filings with HMRC.
- Overseeing supplier and other payments processes and producing cash flow forecasts.
- Calculation and submission of VAT returns for all companies in the group.
- Production of timely, accurate management accounts for trading entities along with relevant project specific reports.
- Oversight and management of statutory accounts preparation in line with filing deadlines.
- Assisting the directors and investors with various ad hoc duties and reporting.
What you will need to be:

- Well organised and process led but with the ability to be reactive and flexible when needed.
- Be genuinely curious and have a passion for exploring multiple solutions to challenges.
- You will be AAT qualified or part ACA/ACCA qualified and have proven’ experience working in a similar role.
