Reed Finance are excited to present a brand-new opportunity for a Financial Controller.

Our client in Ulverston is experiencing growth and is in search of an enthusiastic, hardworking, and experienced Financial Controller to join their Finance Team. This hybrid role requires attendance at the Head Office in Ulverston every Friday.

Day-to-day of the role:

Preparation and payment of monthly payroll.

Monthly and annual payroll tax reconciliation.

Monthly and annual group tax reconciliation.

Research and implementation of practices to ensure compliance with legislative changes.

Operation of electronic funds transfer system between bank accounts.

Daily balance check to maintain funds.

Operation of funds transfer system for employee salary processing.

Production of cash flow projections.

Provide WIP reports to fee earners and liaise with them to facilitate the billing process.

Liaise with fee earners to ensure fee budgets are met and follow authorisation procedures for WIP write-offs.

Assist in fee earner budget setting and maintenance.

Report on group performance at monthly group meetings.

Maintain the company’s bank accounts and ensure maximum utilisation of resources within the accounting department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of relevant accounting packages.
• Proficient spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with monthly overview reporting against budget.
• Ability to draft management reports including profit and loss and balance sheet.
• Experience with reconciliation of bank accounts.
• Own transport is necessary due to the location not being on a public transport route.
